Graffiti
These images were taken on a recent trip to Nottingham, and they remind me what interesting subject matter graffit art is. Even in the most depressing urban area, there's often several pieces of photographically interesting street art. I try to focus in tight, so that the shapes and colours are taken out of their immediate context, and the viewer is forced to concentrate on the shapes, colours and textures of the design, or part-design, in question. These two especially interested me, and I think they make good subject matter, however questionable the social and moral aspects of graffiti are.
