Gentlemen - it's August so it's time for a monthly post. This was taken as a bit of an abstract snap whilst in Notre-Dame la Garde, Marseille in March with my Canon-G9. I use LR2 to convert the RAW and add a bit of colour back. I was trying to post something a bit different to my usual offereings - I'm not sure I like it myself, but anyway, let me know. A.

I can't get past the upper shadow looking like a condom.
It does, doesn't it? Now I can't see past that...
I find the shadow oppressive, but that may be my screen set up. One of the highlights (lower left) has blown out white highlight, which is very distracting to my eye. I like that it's centred on a flower, just a shame it's blown out. Had there been more detail in the shadows, it may have worked better. Is it tiles underwater? Not a fave, but thanks for sharing.

I think there would have been some nice pastel colours here if it were not blown out...leaves one wanting.
The blowout is distracting but I like the subject...just needs better exposure.
