Adam's photo - now in mono and cropped
As suggested, Adam's excellent shot cropped to echo the lead-in lines of the huts more and emphasise the letterbox element of the pier PLUS a nice mono treatment, and lose some of the somewhat redundant shoreline..
I always experiment with about half a dozen crops of any picture I think has promise. This one clearly has potential, but it had a lot of empty space, not well used, to my eyes, hence the letterbox crop. With a muted colour palette, it screamed mono to me too.
