White Trees

Final one from me for today.
Taken at a local National Trust property near Cambridge (Anglesey Abby) - this patch of pure white trees planted against an intentionally dark backdrop makes for a quite stunning scene. I cropped this to accentuate the effect - this is also a stitch of 3 images to get the wide view.

This is beautiful. Great vision Ivan. I love the graphic nature of the shot - repatition with a sprinkling of chaos. My favourite for a while. Nothing consructive to say really (and, quite frankly, I wore myself out on the cricket shot comments). would imagine this hanging on someones wall. Nicely done, congratulations, you must be pleased with it. all the best, A

Yes, I like it too. I have though since lots of similar images so not terribly original (if I were to be very critical). But I like it. Very stark. Simple. Orderly and yet chaotic. Nice tones. Would look good printed on aluminium...

On another note, I am very happy that the blog is back. I suppose one doesn't miss something until it is gone...

Yes, me too - let's keep it going.

You "professionals" are hyper-critical indeed :-)

Nice! The unusual colours and contrast make a refreshing change to what might have otherwise been an unremarkable image. I like the crop/wide view as well.

BTW: check back to the horse eye for a link to the original shot for anyone who might like to try their own edits.
