Just a couple of recent snaps on my 5D.The first was at Linton Zoo (400mm) and the windfarm was deep in the fens ( I could hear 'dueling banjos' in my head so I wasn't hanging about-24 mm). Not the best pics you'll ever see - I'm still relatively new to digital so I'm experimenting. all converted from raw in Rawshooter, uped the saturation and cropped inPhotoshop. all comments welcome - all the best, A.

The field and windfarm doesn't do it for me - not enough foreground interest, and the windfarm would have been better if you were closer and did some funky stuff with angles etc. I appreciate with your dodgy, but improving, ankles, getting closer was not an option (yet!).
The other is more interesting. Nice almost mono feel, and a lovely shape of the curled up beastie. I think the low DoF has meant a nose in focus but eyes not, which is a shame, as it should be other way round, really. I'd also try to crop off some of the dead black space upper right to tighten up a bit. A good shot with heaps of potential though.
