On The Road - Mile 2,226
This picture is a crop of a larger shot of the Mexico's Gulf. I burned the blacks to remove the sea. I also wanted to have a minimalism feeling. The lines of the clouds are supposed to give a feeling of movement, the shot being a part of the "On The Road" series.
I much prefer the edited version. The colour of the sky is most excellent and the sun provides a good focal point without being too overwhelming. The lines of the clouds don't give me a sense of movement though. There is also a lot of black nothingness in the lower half so perhaps a tighter crop might work.
I like the before and after comparison. Unusual for D to be OK with cropping/colour modification from the original perception, but it is a nice crop/modification.
I think I can see another crop, as Bluey indicates - for me, it's a vertical crop, with the sun near the bottom 1/4, up through the clouds.

Agree with Damian's comments. Nice vision to get that from the original... different crop?
