YAC (yet another crop)
OK, yet another version of this photo. I've brightened it a bit and cropped it some more. Frankly I still think I prefer the original, though, but Ivan's idea of cropping the left-hand side has grown on me. What do you guys think? And why?
I like the light, levels and I really like that shadow. It has a nice shape. I don't like the rope and don't understand why it remains. Personally, I would crop the rope, focus on the shadow and head. But I wouldn't crop as tightly as Ivan did. Perhaps I will have a go with this image too.
I doubt you could lose the shadow convincingly. I don't see the point in messing around to that extent, too - just use it as a learning point next time!

Yeh, see what you can do. I'd prefer the rope to be gone, but doing so chops off too much of her nose.
I still kind of like the gloomy feel of the original's underexposure, but I guess I'm in the minority. Oh well.
It would be quite easy - though time-consuming- to clone out the rope in photoshop (and the shadow too). That would help a lot.

I'd spend the time to work on the rope, though.
