Lonely Tree (part 2)

Another lonely tree from the Shropshire shoot. This time, in the middle of a newly harvested field, with some tiny sheep around. I liked the lines and shapes of the field, the imprint of man, with this tree isolated. The sheep are a semi comedic touch.

I report here the comment I made on flickr :

composition is excellent, the tree is very well placed on the picture. The lines make the background very interesting.
and the angle of the shot makes it original.
very well done, and for sure a "must" of lonely trees!

did you shot from a plane?

I would like also to add that I thank you very much Ivan to take advantage of your talents to work on a theme I like a lot (lonesome trees)! And I think this is very interesting to compare our own photographic aproach on given themes!

Regards.

Yes, I like this shot and immediately wonder how on earth you shot it. Great colour, lines vs what you see on the tree, and the sheep tops it off. Great shot...

From the top of Hopesay Hill, where the other shots were taken from, looking back and using my telephoto at the 450mm end. With the 12.2MP sensor of the 450D, I can crop down a little and still have a nicely resolved image.

Thanks for your comments on this and my previous post.
