First of the Season

This is a link to the first presentation of the new CCC 2008/9 season which starts on Monday 08 September.

Looks like some nice, gritty monos, industrial landscapes, street scenes and working life - should be right up Gareth's street.

Last year's kick off was an awful presentation which owed more to substandard natural history photography than photographic merit. This one looks better on paper.

Here's hoping..

Well I have to say that I am most impressed Ivan. I have no sense when these photos were taken, but I have noticed recently a real sense of focus from your eye, and these shots, particularly the last two, demonstrate that. The middle shot is great; there is a lot of story there and the dogs take you out of the photo. The first, which you have posted previously, has a lot too. It might be a tad too dark or something else is going on. It looks like a very old worn out photo. Was it cropped from a larger image or something?

The bottom photo is very playful...

What? This article is about the first presentation of the new CCC season, and these are images from the presenter, Vic Attwood, link attached to the post.

..and I have posted the first one already? Man, you're working too hard...

HA!~!!!!!

Odd though since I thought you posted something very similar to the first image. Haven't you? Or someone has.

Anyhow, it is not clear that these images are NOT yours.

Jeeesss...what a waste of comment.

Read it again - it doesn't say whose the images are, but it's fairly clear they are not mine, I think.

No, not a waste - these are good images, just not mine!

I also thought "What has Ivan been taking?" and where has he been hanging out!

Great shots, maybe something for you to work on? :)

Now that the dust has settled, I agree with you, Ivan - this bodes well for tonight! See you there.
