A new post: revisiting the puppy

OK, here's my initial effort to contribute more. It's the puppy again, but taking into account some of the suggestions from the previous time I posted this image. I tweaked the levels a bit, and tightened the crop with the dog on the right (sorry Dam, I prefer this side...) but still wonder if I should try get rid of that back leg. Same for the b&w. Your thoughts?

Thanks for the post Colin.

I love the BW image - works well, and the tight crop has eliminated a lot of the distractions, making it all about the dog, and not the flowers or the empty grass behind. This is my favourite, and it's a nice mono conversion too. Well done.

Second one is good, and you've removed the whiter areas on the top, but I still find the white layer on the bottom distracting, so would still clone these out. A crop like the mono above in colour would also be great. Would like to see that sometime.

I'd leave the leg in, I think - it has a nice, semi-comical touch.

Well,I am not so fond of the black and white. But not sure why. Perhaps it is too soft or something on the black. And I don't like the crop. Way too tight for me. This dog needs space. Especially since the left eye (or is that the right eye) is looking left (right).

Having said all of that. I just noticed that my earlier crop was on the right(left)side. Well, I have also noticed through producing the farmers market calendar, that opinions on photos change...
